Job Description

To manage the overall supply chain from order completion to destination, worldwide which includes organising and monitoring storage and distribution of goods. Manage and monitor procurement expenses to the lowest possible cost without detriment to providingexcellent customer service. Create and maintain professional relationships with hauliers / forwarders.Client DetailsOur client is based near Stockton on Tees and are a well known Technology brand. Due to recent growth plans, they require a Logistics Coordinator on site.Description

  • Coach, mentor and train a growing team
  • Day to day awareness of the logistics team in order to provide support when other members are not available or to meet targets
  • Be the first point of contact for team activities, questions and initial training requirements
  • Provide system feedback / configuration / testing / documentation
  • Create and update transport manuals including detailed descriptions of all the INCO Terms that the company use
  • Assist with the re-negotiating of terms of business/service level agreements and performance evaluation of current hauliers and take corrective action as required; awareness of the haulier market fostering relationships with current and potential hauliers
  • Provide timely preparation and process of import documentation and authorisation for HMRC for all air and sea shipments globally
  • Ensure the integrity of import / export documentation such as Bills of lading, GSP certificates, commercial invoices and packing lists
  • Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
  • Monitor quality, warranty, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  • Planning shipments based on product availability and customer requests
  • Process and create necessary documentation, i.e. COO, SASO etc. for destination purposes
  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal and external systems and databases
  • Keep track of freight, warehouse, transport and supply management systems
  • Keep track of quality, warranty, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Prepare reports of purchased products, delivery information and invoices, including cost analysis
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
  • Keep internal and external customers updated on progress relating to their orders and deliveries from start to finish
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Review, maintain and identify improvement and efficiency of logistics processes
  • Maintain a good relationship with our current forwarders whilst also creating new relationships with future suppliers
  • Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Meet measurable KPI targets

ProfileThe successful candidate will live within a commutable distance to Stockton on Tees and hold the following attributes:
  • The ability to work in an office environment
  • Previous experience in Import/Export
  • Previous experience in Stock Control
  • The ability to hold 3PL relationships
