Job Description

Procure Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with an innovative and industry leading automotive business located in their search for a Health and Safety Manager. Our client is a business that has gone from strength to strength and now leads themarket in their field.The successful candidate will be strategic and very pragmatic in approach.The main responsibilities include:H&S

  • Responsible for managing and controlling all aspects of H&S across the group.
  • Developing policies, ensuring they are implemented, policing them.
  • Holding monthly H&S meetings across the group with staff/reps.
  • Conducting audits across the group to ensure compliance, reporting back to Directors and effecting change.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to just get on with the job without constant prompts/direction - although full support is available as and when required.
  • Ensuring all daily/weekly/monthly checks are carried out, reports received and filed correctly (admin support via reception can assist with the legwork).
  • Ensuring training maintained/updated regards first aiders, fire wardens, fork lifts etc
  • Investigating any and all accidents, putting policies in place to prevent repetition etc.
Quality
  • Responsible for managing the company’s quality system (BSI/ISO 9001).
  • Ensuring the manual up to date, rolled out, understood and in operation
  • Ensuring consistency in operations across group
  • Managing all BSI audits to ensure compliance etc Property
  • Responsible for all property/site maintenance matters.
  • Ensuring the most cost effective methods are employed for repairs, and controlling those costs.
  • Engaging with local contractors/suppliers where this makes more sense to do.
  • Ensuring the sites are maintained to a good standard, and being available for staff to report issues to do with confidence it’ll get resolved and not fall in to a black hole.
The successful applicant will need to have good computer literacy skills with regards to Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.This is a brilliant opportunity with a super business.
