Job Description

Are you newly qualified and looking to progress your finance careerAn engineering business based in Stillington are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team to support their finance processes.They are looking for someone with long term aspirations to develop and progress in their career as part of a succession plan.You will be Chartered Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or working towards attaining Chartered Qualification status.Office based with a Monday to Friday schedule.Responsibilities:

  • Support accountants month end accounts
  • Support accountants with internal and external audits, forecasts, and budgeting
  • Provide support to payroll team for reporting and audit requirements
  • Producing VAT and Duty returns and associated reporting and reconciliations in line with UK tax controls
  • Manage fixed assets and Capex processing and reconciliations
About you:
  • Previous experience at a similar level
  • Good understanding of profit, loss and balance sheet reporting
  • Proven experience of working within a team and improving processes and best practice
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced MS Excel skills desirable
