Job Description

Family Solicitor/Legal ExecutiveAs a leading North East provider of Family Law, Watson Woodhouse Ltd are seeking a Family Fee Earner to work in one of our offices in the North East. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a very progressive practice, amongst some of the regions leading lawyers.The role can be based at either Middlesbrough, Stockton or Darlington.The successful candidate will be able to work independently and be able to deal with all aspects of family law with particular focus on divorce, finance, children and public law. The role will involve managing of a client caseload and ensuing high standards of client care and development of good working relationships with external institutions and organisations. To support and develop any immediate support and fee earning staff as agreed with the Head of Department and play an active part in the promotion of the firm’s services.Role Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years Post Qualification Experience within Family Law is essential.
  • The ability to deliver Excellent Client Care.
  • A good working knowledge of Legal Aid.
  • Strong drafting skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advocacy experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate use of sensitivity when dealing with clients and manage difficult conversations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and as an individual on their own initiative.
  • High levels of attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, with an ability to prioritise and organise a complex workload to deadline.
