Job Description

Estimator duties include.·Analysing plans, bills of quantities and other project documentation in order to estimate costs.·Take off tender using drawings / information supplied by the client.·Create a material resource list to send out to suppliers for best price.·Researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors·Analysing data that can affect costs (such as material availability and the company’s productivity rates)·Assessing the financial, technical and operational risks of the project·Visiting project sites to gather information and attend Pre-start meetings.·Keeping up to date with the latest regulatory and legislative requirements.Quantity Surveyor duties include.·Targets for labour·Capture any variations.·Site measures·Agree dayworks and maintain dayworks register.·Ensure site are working to most up to date information using client portals.·Submit client applications for payment.·Record and assess materials on site (MOS) ensuring no over ordering.·Regular site visitsWorking closely with key members of the project team
