Job Description

ElectricianFull Time, 40 HoursMonday - Friday 08.00 - 16.30This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, long standing Building & Property Services Business based in Stockton-on-Tees. Our team play a vital role in achieving this and we work hard to achieve a positive and progressive environment where everybody can thrive in their roles.As a successful candidate you will have experience working as an Electrician preferably with a testing and social housing background completing electrical testing, repairs, full and partial rewires in occupied and void properties.Key accountabilities

  • Experience with installing, servicing and maintain electrical systems and appliances in accordance with current Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations
  • Have the knowledge to install, repair, inspection and test electrical installations and complete correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report
  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems on domestic electrical systems, including fault finding, and rewiring
  • Undertake jobs as directed on company subscribed software
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
  • Assess the parts needed for a job and place order for those parts
  • Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic electrical systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards
  • Rewire faulty electrical systems, such as lighting, heating systems and alarms
  • Ensure good quality workmanships which uploads company standards, complies with building regulations, and follow safety requirements
  • Provide exceptions customer service and answer any customer questions
  • Install electrical systems to current edition wiring regulations
  • Possess working knowledge of lighting systems (including emergency lighting)
The ideal candidate will:
  • Fully qualified Electrician with 3 years post qualification experience
  • Domestic Electrical faulty finding with demonstrable evidence
  • 18th Edition
  • Electrical testing and inspection qualifications 2391 or 2394/2395
  • Previous work experience within social housing
  • You should have a good understanding of IT including using smart phones and tablets
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Experience working in occupied premises and is able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Be a confident communicator with the ability to follow and understand instructions
  • Be able to work to set time frames
  • Be an enthusiastic team player, working well under pressure with good attention to detail
  • Demonstrate a "can do" attitude and be self-motivated
  • Be flexible and realisable in their approach to work
  • Good housing keeping skills adhering to all safety requirements and regulations
