Job Description

The Company:Our Client is a well-established IT Solutions Company and you will be working with a highly experienced IT and help desk support team who work with multiple companies to deliver first class support in the provision of IT services, and delivery of IT solutionsand processes to customers via telephone, e-mail, remote desktop or on-site.The role:This is a hands-on role, from triage and diagnosis of issues and root cause analysis to the technical administration and support of operational systems, and you will be responsible for providing a fast and responsive service to customers - there will bea wide range of field work between various clients sites, meaning that each day is varied and no two days the same.Key responsiiblities:

  • Provision of service desk incident support - responding to enquiries/tickets through to completion keeping all tickets fully updated in real time.
  • Recognising when escalation is required for the quickest resolution for the client, providing continual and regular updates to the client throughout the management of their incident
  • Perform on-site client visits for general maintenance services and/or resolution of technical incidents
The CandidateThe ideal candidate will come from an outsourced or IT service background with strong customer services skills. You will be proficient with Microsoft Windows Servers, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Office 365 along with Active Directory.With excellent desktop skills, you will be able to troubleshoot Office, Outlook and other 3rd party software issues, and you will have knowledge of Backups Systems, (BackupExec, Veeam), installation of physical servers and/or virtually, and understandingof IP networks and IT security. Knowledge of Sonicwall and ESET security products would be advantageous.An industry recognised qualification (e.g. MCPS, MCESES, CCA, CCNA, A+, Network+ etc) would be desirable although not essential.A focussed and pro-active approach, coupled with strong communication skills will be fundamental in the successful delivery of this role.The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary & benefits package with significant opportunities for training and career progression.
