Shipping AdministratorStockport £23,000 - £27,000This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading supplier of textile products to the UK and European markets.You will be working for one of the UK’s largest and most respected Textile Group of companies, that has over 50 years’ experience supplying fabrics to over 30 different countries.The successful candidate will work closely with the Purchasing Manager and QC manager ensuring product arrives at the warehouses on time and to specification.Key duties will include:Raising purchase ordersBuilding relationships and Liaising with overseas suppliersAssisting with customs & import documentationEntering shipments onto our in-house systemChecking/chasing suppliers for shipping documentsLiaising with sales on shipment updatesSending payment advices to suppliersLiaising with shipping agents & destination warehousesBooking stock into the destination warehouse (afloat to warehouse)Signing off duty deferment statements and supplying relevant paperwork to the accounts departmentScanning packing lists and linking to the relevant batch on our systemFiling of all documentationThe successful candidate will have:Imports or Shipping Administration experienceExcellent communication skillsKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeCandidates will ideally have an interest in the textiles industry, You will be reliable and be able to learn new skills quickly.This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join a long established and successful family business which holds a prominent position in the textile industry.
