Howarth Morris are partnering with a leading manufacturing group who are embarking on an exciting period of growth. They are now looking for an experienced standalone part-time Payroller who can shape and drive the payroll function. My client requiresa candidate looking for between 22.5 and 30 hours/week. There is also flexibility with regards working from home.The role itself will report to the Financial Controller and the right candidate will need to be accurate, organised and adaptable to a fast paced & fast growing environment.Responsibilities* Payroll processing of monthly payroll for salaried employees, ensuring that all employees are paid correctly and on time* Responsible for maintaining employee time and attendance records* Completion of P45 for leavers, end of year processing and reconciliation including payment summaries (P60s/P11Ds)* Submission of monthly pension contributions* Conducting regular checks to ensure any changes are monitored & controlled, and employees are accurately paid and in line with government regulations* Maintaining up to date and comprehensive guidance notes on payroll procedures* Working closely with our payroll software provider regarding system upgrades and developments* Ensuring payroll policies are up to date to reflect changes to Company policy and Employment Law RegulationsSkills and Experience Required * Up to date knowledge of current regulations affecting employee benefits, deductions and general payroll processes* A proactive approach with experience of identifying & implementing process improvements* Excellent time management and organisational skills, able to work under own initiative and to tight deadlines* Flexibility - to work the necessary hours to meet the cyclical demands of the position* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
