Job Description

We are looking for an Payroll Administrator to join our vibrant, forward-thinking accountancy firm. As a skilled Administrator, you will assist the Payroll Manager and other colleagues with various payroll projects and tasks and be prepared to take on additional responsibilities in a rapidly expanding organisation.In your first few weeks in this Payroll Administrator role, you can expect to:
  • Ensure all pay slips are sent to Contractors in the agreed format (paper or e-mail)
  • Ensure appropriate SMS messages are sent
  • Raise invoices as and when appropriate, considering how different Agencies have different requirements/deadlines (e.g. Self-Billing)
  • Assessment of the correct PAYE and National Insurance being levied on each pay slip
  • P45/P46 information correctly inputted and disclosed Deadlines
  • Ensure all deadlines are met and responsibility taken if deadlines are not met Agency Relationships Build rapport with Agencies to understand and plan, obtain key deadlines and provision of invoices in the correct format
  • All documentation is electronically filed away with supporting evidence on a daily basis Constantly learn and keep up to date with industry specific legislation with a keen eye on compliance
To apply for this Administrator job, you will need to be organised and positive. One year of experience in a payroll or accounting setting is preferred but not essential. You will also require excellent admin skills with a keen eye for detail.In addition, you should have outstanding communication and customer service skills. Anyone with experience from roles such as Customer Service Advisor, Customer Service Executive, Telephone Based Customer Service, Payroll Assistant, Accounts Assistant orAccount would make a good fit for this role.
