Network Security Engineer - Cisco, Security, FirewallsStockport - £40,000 - £45,000 + BenefitsNetwork Security Engineer with strong experience in Network Security and possesses Cisco Qualification/s is sought by this leading technology arm of a highly successful government backed biotechnology organisation.The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day administration of network security. It is a hands-on technical position with responsibility for implementing and monitoring a secure network environment, as well adhering to ISO 27001 certification, to protect networks and systems from malicious/unauthorized access or misuse.The successful Network Security Engineer should possess knowledge of the following:* Cisco network security certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE)* Advanced knowledge of hardware security, including Security benchmarking and hardening techniques.* Experience of installation, configuration, management and administration of network infrastructure: e.g. firewall, switches, routers and VPN.* Experience of configuration, management and administration of network services: e.g. DHCP, DNS, IP address allocation planning, VPN, RADIUS/TACACS+, Syslog, NTP.* Knowledge of protocols in the Internet Protocol Suite: e.g. TCP; UDP; ICMP and of routing protocols. * Knowledge of one of more of the following: Microsoft Direct Access, Microsoft Always On VPN and Cisco AnyConnect* Knowledge of SSL VPNs * Understanding of high availability multi-site, multi-network firewalls particularly Cisco & Fortinet* Understanding of URL filtering technologiesBased in Stockport and easily commutable from Stockport, Manchester, Altrincham, Oldham, Warrington, etc A driving license is required to alternate site travelIf this appeals to you get in touch!
