Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: ManchesterHours: Mon-Thurs 8:30am- 5pm and Fri 8:30-4pmCompetitive salary on offer based on experienceCompany Overview:Are you looking for a new career to kick start your 2024 If so, we are pleased to be working for a specialist in on-site power generation & energy storage. You would be joining a leading supplier, installer, and maintenance provider in the power generationindustry. With a commitment to cutting-edge technology and sustainable solutions, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to their continued success.Position Overview:As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will assist in profitably of engineering our clients UK Sales and Projects Business, ensuring that they are designed in a cost-effective way as measured by the management accounts.You will be responsible for leading mechanical design on projects and responsible for specifications, mechanical design, P&ID (piping & instrumentation diagrams) drawings, detail drawings, general arrangements and equipment schedules. You will provide designsupport in overseas activities and support the Sales and Projects teams whilst providing technical calculations and assessments, including safety assessmentsQualifications:

  • To hold a minimum qualification of HNC/D or degree qualified in mechanical engineering, with a focus on generation.
  • To have a minimum of 2 years experience in successful technical management and development of Energy Projects.
  • To be a competent Mechanical Engineer with experience in power generation, pipework and ventilation design, CDM and health & safety.
  • Full UK driving licence
