Job Description

Customs Duty SpecialistWe are recruiting for a Customs Duty Specialist on behalf of our client based in the Bournville, Birmingham area. As a Customs Duty Specialist you will be expected to fulfil all required roles within the Customs Department as detailed in duties and responsibilities.Details of a Customs Duty Specialist:

  • Hourly rate: £15.54
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Working hours: 37 hours per week
  • Location: Bournville, Birmingham
  • Duration: Temporary
    • Duties and Responsibilities of a Customs Duty Specialist:
  • Assisting with the provision of Customs Compliance Services for internal goods movement
  • Using SAP Application
  • Assisting with changes as a result of Brexit
  • Handing all customs queries and advising on procedures.
  • Supporting Customs Compliance Controls
  • Providing advice with customs laws and regulations
  • Supporting the rest of the team with day to day operations
  • Providing knowledge of mandatory changes of Customs declarations
  • Responsibility for administrative duties and reports
  • Providing knowledge of import/export requirements for road freight movements in Europe
  • Reporting to Manager in Bratislava, Slovakia
  • Use of INET Logistic System
    • Skills and Experience Requirements for a Customs Duty Specialist:
  • Must have previous use of SAP Application
  • Must be able to speak English AND German Language (Russian, French, Turkish are preferred, not required)
  • Previous experience in handling Customs queries
  • General Knowledge of Import/Export Operations
  • Computer literate
  • MS Applications, inclusive of Microsoft Excel
  • Ensuring all day to day processes are completed
  • Ability to Work Consistently and Promptly
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Supportive in Working as Part of a Team
