Job Description

A large, market-leading manufacturing organisation are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team, based in Stillington.They are looking for talented and driven people to join their team, believing in a fast-paced and results-oriented culture. They give the team the tools and resources to achieve success, and have a strong belief in promoting from within and providing opportunitiesfor professional growth through internal and external training.This role has a salary of up to £45,000 and is the perfect opportunity for a qualified/part-qualified accountant determined for success.The role:To prepare, develop and analyse key financial information while supporting the FC to manage the finance team.Your key duties will include:

  • Producing VAT, CIS Tax and Duty returns and associated reporting, auditing underlying transactions and reconciliations in line with our UK tax controls.
  • Support Month end accounts including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, journal postings, data compilation and analysis.
  • Support Internal and External Audit including implementing and enhancing controls for SOX, UK GAAP and Tax Compliance.
  • Assist Business Units with Costings, Forecasts and Budgeting and other reporting requirements.
  • Manage Fixed Assets, Capex Processing and compliance to policy as well as reconciliations.
  • Manage Lease information and month end reporting.
What you need:
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under time constraints and deadlines, prioritising own workload.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Impartiality & Integrity key, with an ability to manage confidential data.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • IT literate, with experience of ERP systems.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills desirable.
  • Chartered Qualified or in final stages of a chartered accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
