Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Paraplanner to provide technical assistance to a Senior Planner. This individual will coordinate work within the planners support team, ensure reports are prepared and issued in a timely manner, and ensure new business is effectivelymanaged to completion.The ideal candidate will work in the Southwest/Barnstaple area. Hybrid working availableResponsibilities of a Senior Paraplanner:

Managing work coordination and interfacing on the senior planners behalf with clients, colleagues and other third parties as required
Coordinating with stakeholders so that any required actions from emails and meetings are dealt with efficiently and effectively
Ensure senior planners pipeline is documented and up to date to enable accurate forecasting
Travelling to client meetings to support with technical queries, take meeting notes, action points and cash flow modelling preparation and presentation
Provide guidance to the Executive Assistant in relation to timescales and required meetings
Prepare and maintain client files and client reviews
Build cash flow models
Prepare recommendations and suitability reports
Oversee implementation of recommendations, completion of application forms and ensure all compliance is in order
Prepare for client reviews, dealing effectively with queries from clients and other parties

Requirements of a Senior Paraplanner:Knowledge:

Excellent understanding of the financial planning process.
Good technical knowledge in a wide range of product areas - pensions, investments, IHT planning, tax planning, and protection.
Excellent suitability report writing skills.
Keep up to date with new products, and technical and legislative changes within the marketplace.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience working within a financial planning company.
Experience using client cash-flow modelling software is preferable.

Qualifications:

Has achieved a Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent.
Consent to, and have clear results for, police checks, bankruptcy searches and any other background screening that is required for this position.
