Job Description

Right Now Group Limited have been tasked to work alongside one of the biggest cargo ground handlers based at London Heathrow.We are looking for a number of Warehouse Operatives to join our client due to huge growth and exciting new contracts secured.The role is working within a dynamic and fast paced warehouse environment alongside the clients airline partners, ensuring their cargo is delivered safely and securely around the world!JOB SUMMARY

You will be required to assist with loading and unloading vehicles carrying a variety of cargo using a forklift truck and other mechanical equipment, as well as performing some manual handling.
You will be expected to use hand-held devices to locate and identify cargo and process paperwork in accordance with our clients requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

Forklift licence (counterbalance or reach) is desirable but not essential as the client would be willing to train you.
Promote Health & Safety to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
We will need to be able to complete Pre-employment checks. This will include a 5 year checkable employment / education history, DBS check (criminal record check)

In order to secure this role, the client will also require you to complete a full medical which the client will pay for. This will be used to test any problems with Sight, Hearing, General Fitness and problems relating to Drugs & Alcohol.HOURS OF WORK, SALARY AND BENEFITSHOURSYou will be required to work a rotating shift pattern consisting of Days & Nights which will be 12 hour shifts. Day Shifts are 07:00 - 19:00 and Night Shifts are 19:00 - 07:00. This works out to be an average of 42 hours per week.Please find below an example of the above shift pattern:

Week 1 Mon - Sun: 2 Nights, 5 Off
Week 2 Mon - Sun: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 3 Off
Week 3 Mon - Sun: 2 Off, 2 Days, 3 Nights
Week 4 Mon - Sun: 4 Off, 3 Days
