Job Description

DRIVER / VALETERCar License Required c£33,000.00 Per Annum(Weekly Pay)Salary = c£29,000 per annum + c£1,000 per quarter as profit-share bonus We are not looking for someone who necessarily has experience in Valeting but someone who would enjoy this type of work and enjoys a physical role - You will be given full training on all the duties including H&S requirements and must be confident driver.Based from our client’s depot in LeedsStandard hours: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Friday (30 mins unpaid break)Saturday mornings - currently working 1 in every 3 weeks 8:00 am -12:00 pmAll hours worked above 40 are paid at time and a half and any hours worked before 7:00 am are at double timeHourly rates breakdown:40 hours x £10.42 = £416.80 x 52 weeks= £21,673.607.5 hours x £15.63 = £117.26 x 52 weeks= £6,095.70Saturday Mornings by Rota 4.0 hours x £15.63 = £62.52 X 17 weeks = £1,062.84Total Average Earnings (without additional overtime) = £28,832.14 per annumYou will be required to:

  • Hold a full UK Driver Licence (car) and be a confident driver
  • Have legible handwriting
  • Be in good health and be physically able to climb in and out of the trucks/vans with ease
  • Have attention to detail and genuine interest in ensuring the vehicles are presented to a very high standard
The Driver/Valeter role will involve:
  • Valeting a variety of vehicles from Light Commercial to HGVs
  • Approximately 50% of your time will be in the yard getting the vehicles looking pristine and 50% will be collecting HGV drivers who have just dropped a vehicle off at a customer’s premises (or picking one up and need transport to get to where the HGV is)and need a lift back to the depot (using company van)
  • You will be required to fill out vehicle check sheets prior to the collection or the delivery of the vehicles and to report any existing/new damages to your line manager
  • Site Maintenance/ Yard duties - ensuring all areas are clean, tidy and safe at all times
  • Moving vehicles around the yard
