The ROLEYou will be responsible for all aspects of purchasing ranging from sourcing new suppliers, contract negotiation and performance managing a diverse supply base. You will work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure that stock availability is optimized. *To procure goods and materials required for manufacturing and various Projects.*Maintain and improve margins by achieving lowest Total Acquisition Cost (TAC). *Review current supply Base with an aim to purchase from the best option to maximise company profitability*Work to Project time plans/targets and lead-times *Support Quality department regarding New Suppliers documentation for the Vendor Approved listThe CANDIDATEOur client is looking for strong purchaser/buyer who has the ability to manage a diverse range of commodities, possesses excellent stakeholder management skills and be a strong negotiator. Ideally you will also have a good understanding of MRP systems, internationalexpediting knowledge and a CIPS qualification - but experience and personality is paramount.
