Job Description

Production Manager/ForemanLincolnshire £35 - £40K Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead and inspire teams of colleagues across the shift to ensure that they safely deliver against the objectives and measures set by the business.You will be providing visible and effective leadership across the site to deliver the daily production plan through consistent, joined-up and cost-effective performance, whilst ensuring the highest health and safety and quality standards are maintained. You will also support, drive and be involved in strategic projects to help achieve the overall goals of the business.You will be required to:

  • Ensuring the safe operation of the shift and promote health & safety across the business.
  • Responsible for the leadership of a small manufacturing team which includes the management of skills, recruitment, absence and performance
  • Coaching & mentoring your direct team members to develop them and their team members to perform at their best in line with our values through regular 1 to 1s
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to monitor and deliver agreed budgets, suggest and implement improvements which will improve efficiencies, drive team performance and reduce costs
  • Ensure the business KPIs are filtered down to direct reports in a timely manner to ensure proactive steps are taken to review performance and make necessary changes to the operation
  • Work with the wider team to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Oversee all aspects of plant maintenance, playing a key role in the planning and installation of new plant & equipment
  • Ensure production targets and forecasts are being achieved and orders fulfilled efficiently and to schedule
    • The preferred candidate will be an excellent leader with experience in building and leading a high-performing, successful production team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Significant and relevant experience in a leadership position of a fast paced, Production/Factory/ Operations site.
  • Experience in building and leading a high performing team.
  • IT literate (Intermediate)
  • Health & Safety knowledge and application within a production environment.
  • Experience in developing great working relationships with a variety of stakeholders across a business using varied methods of communication
  • Ability to collect, analyse and investigate data and presenting this to the required stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of identifying and implementing improvements in a manufacturing process
  • Evidence of working in a professional way in line with business values.
  • Good working knowledge of plant engineering and maintenance issues
