A brilliant new role has been created at this Norfolk based Agricultural business that supplies its well respected and highly regarded product across the world. As a Customer Service Engineer, you will be responsible for dealing with the customers wide range of inquiries, from talking to them about their equipment and associated items such as spare parts, to dealing with their breakdown issues or complaints regarding their machinery. You will need to have an excellent customer service focus as you will be dealing with potentially time-sensitive situations where you need to empathise with the customer whilst offering a solutions driven focus, ensuring the customer understands exactly what will be happening.Issues will hopefully be able to be dealt with over the telephone, utilising common sense with your mechanical knowledge and drawing from your skills gained from a mechanical based previous position. If the issues cannot be sorted remotely, an engineer needs to be booked to visit the situation and this is where you will need to have very capable logistical skills, good administration and diary management skills too. This is a full on, interesting, diverse and challenging position that will find you using combining many of your skills to reach a satisfactory conclusion. For this role, you must have worked within or dealt with the Agricultural sector as this is the prime client base. You will preferably have a mechanical mind, perhaps having been a maintenance engineer/mechanic or maybe just displaying a full understanding and comfortable approach to machinery and equipment. It goes without saying that your people skills and customer service level must be very strong, along with your ability to handle multiple situations simultaneously.Due to the nature of the business and the sector it operates in, the hours are a little longer than standard, but this is taken into consideration through a very competitive and quite healthy salary. You will need your own transport as this business is not on a main route and is based to the north-east of Norwich.
