My client operates form a large manufacturing plant and prides themselves on being market leaders in their field. They are currently working alongside some of the industrys most prestigious manufacturers, providing the finest products and solutions. The role requires a highly driven individual who can demonstrate relevant experience within a production planning/scheduling, technical engineering, manufacturing environment. Confident with creating and maintaining production plans to ensure KPIs are met suchas OTD and costs. Leading and mentoring a small planning and scheduling team, you will work cross functionally with Procurement, Commercial and Operations Teams, ensuring the needs of the customers are met.Location : Based in Norfolk but some travel may be required.Hours: Basic 40 hour working weekAdditional hours where necessary to ensure successful completion of responsibilities.8.00am4.30pm (Monday - Friday)Lunch break 1.00pm - 1.30pmMain Duties: Managing and leading a small Planning and Stores team. Manage the MRP system (Microsoft D365) to ensure production demands are accurate and achieved. Become the Companys D365 super-user who can provide system assistance to all areas of the business. Promote the Companys core values, mission and vision Ensure Health & Safety requirements are met by all team members. Ensure housekeeping standards are set and maintained Proactively engage with team members to provide leadership and direction Produce and update Production Schedules in line with the order book, minimising non-productive time where possible Attend daily and weekly meetings, contributing strongly to the success of the overall team Highlight any issues to the production plans to the relevant teams ASAP and look for ways to overcome these Focus on OTIF and other set KPIs Ensuring the consistent flow of material and raising any shortages with stakeholders Develop and maintain relevant standard operating procedures Ensure data is maintained to the highest possible standard Deputise for General Manager where requiredSkills & Experience Proven experience using MRP system to a high standard, preferably D365 Proven management experience of a small team Relevant experience within Production Planning within manufacturing or engineering background Confident Excel and SAP ERP System user Strong internal and external communicator - able to build relationships at all levels. Strong numerical and analytical skills with a methodical approach to completing tasks Identifies with the Companys Core Values and encourages the promotion amongst team members. Effective communicator who can motivate team members and is willing to listen to ideas. Team player with strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach and a visible level of drive and enthusiasm. Naturally maintain a positive, can-do attitude in all circumstances
