Job Description

Technical Support Engineer - PerformanceA powerhouse within the cloud computing platform industry is looking for a Technical Support Engineer - Integrations contractor to join their team in Staines on an initial 12 month assignment with the flexibility to work remotely.In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot difficult technical issues while keeping a professional demeanour
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Strong personal commitment to quality and customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in one (or more) of the following; Email Infrastructure (POP3/IMAP, SMTP), Authentication & Authorisation Technologies (LDAP, SAML), Web Services (SOAP, REST), Data Extraction Technologies (JDBC, ODBC), Networking (HTTP, TCP/IP)
  • Experience writing or debugging Object Oriented code (Java preferred)
  • Experience in one (or more) scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell)
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle)
  • Has a Bachelors degree or better in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline experience
Preferred Skills / Experience
  • A fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL, or CMDB
  • Advanced Unix/Linux experience
  • Experience working with cloud-based software like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Okta
  • Professional level fluency to read, write and speak a European language as a second language is desired
