Job Description

Sales Estimator - SteelWe have the pleasure of recruiting for an experienced Sales Estimator. Our exclusive client on the H2 Consultancy portfolio is based in Rural Staffordshire and provides a friendly working environment with excellent prospects and job security.My client requires an experienced Sales Estimator to complement their existing team. Your role will report to the Managing Director and will be to secure profitable business opportunities from new and existing customers by identifying their requirements, estimating, and submitting competitive bids.This role is key to the future development and growth of the business and therefore requires a forward thinking, innovative and flexible individual.Main Responsibilities

  • A thorough understanding of architect and engineer drawings including structural calculations
  • Technical steel knowledge with a solid understanding of secondary and architectural steel work.
  • To build relationships with existing and new customers.
  • To visit customers and/or their projects when required.
  • Commercial awareness and a good understanding of contract law to efficiently cost projects and complete quantity take-off and written quote submissions.
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to work proactively with colleagues, suppliers and customers
    • Experience Required
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar role and industry in Steel.
  • A thorough understanding of architect and engineer drawings including structural calculations
  • Working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft office
  • Full UK driving licence - you will be required to attend meetings at various locations across the UK.
