Legal Counsel - popular retail brandA superb opportunity for a legal counsel to join the small, nimble legal team of a much loved UK retailer, bursting with passion.Ideally you will have 2+ years PQE with a background in commercial law and some exposure to working in-house.The business continues to adapt, evolve and inspire, leading to store openings month on month bucking a bit of a recent trend for the sector.You will be supporting a relatively new, highly personable and pragmatic GC, therefore a superb platform to broaden your experience and a genuine opportunity to influence both operationally and strategically.Culturally the business is hugely values driven, and all naturally passionate about their products, offering and place in the market.This is a genuine hands-on, varied role allowing you to build experience right across the in-house legal and compliance piece. If you are feeling a little narrow, stuck in a rut or looking for a greater influence, this could be for you.Supporting the GC, your role will incorporate- commercial contracts, (with an initial focus on logistics, supply chain and procurement) as well as a range of others- IP, branding, marketing, IT contracts- Governance, compliance, regulation, data protection- Co-sec activities, corporate matters- Driving process and new initiatives.- Building your stakeholder relationships across the senior management and operational teamKey to this role will be softer skills - you should be naturally inquisitive, a problem solver, willing to learn new areas and hot on professional and personal development.
