Job Description

I am sourcing for an Import & Export Customs Controller to join large distribution company based in Staffordshire. In this role, you will ensure all the import & export compliance requirements are satisfied in an accurate and timely manner. This role willby hybrid working after the initial training periodImport & Export Customs Controller Key Responsibilities:

  • A main point of contact day to day for import and export queries.
  • Log and monitor goods under IPR/EUR and ensure compliance with HMRC procedures.
  • Control of imports under CFSP duty management system using Customs Warehouse.
  • Drive process improvements in duty mitigation and controls surrounding trade and supply chain
  • Complete all paperwork to ensure import duty and VAT is paid to HMRC in a timely manner.
  • Providing clarification on export license queries
  • Training/educating the business regarding import/export procedures & compliance including duty mitigation and duty management process.
Import & Export Customs Controller Key Responsibilities:
  • Experience of working in an international company with import/export knowledge of minimum 3 years
  • Operating special customs procedures such as Inward Processing (IPR), Outward Processing (OPR),
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective problem-solver with analytical skills
  • Flexibility
  • CDS customs knowledge
  • Northern Ireland Trader Support Service
