2ndLine Engineer, stoke on trent, 24/7 environment Excellent opportunity for a 2nd Line support Engineer to join a growing MSP, service team, a leading provider of IT services within the defence sector. Working on cutting-edge solutions to support critical operations and infrastructure. This would suitan experienced and talented second line support engineer, to ensure the reliability, availability, and security of clients systems and networks. As a key member of the technical team, you will provide essential support to maintain operational readiness ina 24/7 environment.Technical experience needed ideally a Degree however relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate. Security focused, expertise in patch management and experience with patching tools/systems.Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN technologies, proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Windows and other operating systems, familiarity with virtualisation technologies suchas VMware; ESXi or vSphere.Providing second level technical support for infrastructure and systems. Diagnosing and resolving technical issues escalated from the 1st line team, collaborating with internal teams and stakeholder to implement solutions and enhancements.This is a busy, bustling, collaborative, Agile team working onsite in Stoke On Trent. Would suit someone who can drive, local to the offices in Stoke On Trent due to the nature of the business and participating in on call rotas, to work in a 24/7 environment.Strong proven experience in a similar role this would suit someone preferably within the defence or government sector who is already SC cleared or willing to go through security clearance.
