SECURITY ENGINEER Our Client- Our client is a fast-growing security business based in the Cambridge area. They have a great culture and are looking for forward thinking engineers to join their team. The Ideal Candidate- The Ideal candidate for this role will be experienced in a similar role and have the technical knowledge listed in this advert. The client is looking for a candidate who can work hard and professionally. Full Clean Driving Licences is also required. Job Role * Installation, Servicing, Maintenance and Commission of predominantly Intruder alarms, CCTV and Fire Alarms in domestic, commercial, and industrial property. * Background knowledge of Access Control, Door Entry and Gate Automation is preferred but not essential. * Emergency out of hour callout is one week in four * To be able to work independently and to work alongside other engineers and to be part of a team. * On site quotations and the ability to provide customers with costed solutions whilst on site using the quotation software provided by us. * To work away from home when required to provide installations to national clients. Technical Knowledge required: * Full and detailed understanding of BS EN 50131, BS 5839, and NCP 104 * A comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Fire Alarm problems (Door Entry, Access Control and Gate Automation is an advantage but not essential) * An ability to recommend changes to existing systems surrounding practices and processes that may cause false alarms * A basic understanding of IP configuration and basic computer use. * Experience of Pyronix, Texecom, Scantronic, Hikvision, Kentec, Paxton, Videx, and Came is an advantage. However, manufacturer training can be provided. Personal characteristics and behaviours: * Hard working and determined * Can work well under pressure * Can work independently and as a team Company Provides: * All the basics including a Company Vehicle, Company Fuel Card, Company Mobile Phone, Company Uniform, Full PPE. * All power tools that are required to complete jobs in the best way (when required). * All relevant testing equipment. * Company laptop (when required). * Company iPad (when required). * All manufacturer training required to complete jobs in the best way (when required). Benefits: * Working hours of 9.00am-17.00pm, Monday - Friday * Basic Salary of £25,000 - £30,000 (based on experience) with a performance review every 6 months and adjusted salary accordingly. * 21 Days Annually plus Bank Holidays plus additional day per year of service up to 7 days. * £100 per week call-out standby
