Job Description

An excellent job opportunity has arisen at an established accountancy firm in Huntingdonshire, within reach of St Neots, Huntingdon, Bedford and Sandy, for a Payroll Professional, offering free parking, a nice office environment, early finish on a Fridayand competitive salary.The role will be primarily based in the firms St. Neots office but will require 1 day per week in another office, which is around 40 minutes away by car. They are happy to consider full-time or part-time but do require a minimum of 25 hours.Payroll professional – Job information: The firm have been expanding significantly over the last few years and seeking a key hire for their payroll team. The role involves all aspects of payroll from speaking to the clients through processing, sending of payslips,and providing advice on things such as sick pay to auto-enrolment pensions. It is a close-knit and very friendly team, which you will be an integral part of.The firm offer an early finish on Fridays at 2pm for full-time staff, as they work slightly longer, Monday to Thursday.Responsibilities:Payroll processing from gross pay provided by the client

  • Payroll processing from calculations
  • Checking holiday, sick pay, maternity pay etc
  • Ensuring compliance with minimum wage and holiday regulations
  • Submitting payroll reports in electronic form to clients and payslips to employees.
  • Hitting time deadlines
  • Filing all necessary reports with HMRC
  • Dealing with ad hoc questions from clients
  • Chasing clients for payroll info
