Job Description

Mechanical Enigneer Position OverviewMechanical Engineer required for a well-established packaging machinery company based in the Cambridgeshire area. This Mechanical engineer position would suit a service engineer or maintenance engineer with strong electrical and mechanical skills who hasa strong background in production machinery. The Candidate should hold electrical qualifications and be mechanically competent.

  • Required to both service and repair in house and in the field end of line packaging machinery (strapping, wrapping, etc.)
  • Attend breakdowns and planned maintenance.
  • Work as part of the team during larger machine/project installations.
Mechanical Enigneer Position Requirements
  • Part or full-qualified mechanical disciplines or someone unqualified who can demonstrate / evidence good mechanical practical skills.
  • Electrical and mechanical service /maintenance experience
  • Relevant qualification or hands on experience (Electrical or Mechanical)
  • Full UK driving license
  • Good mechanical practical skills.
  • Someone who has been working as a Mechanic or tool hire repair, Fork truck , diesel fitter, compressors, bicycle repair could will have relevant transferable skills
Mechanical Enigneer Position Remuneration
  • Salary £25000 - £30000 (dependent on whether qualified)
  • Full training on companies machinery
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Full sick pay
  • Pension
  • 39 hours Mon-Friday
  • 8:30 -17:00 finish 16:00 Fridays.
