Job Description

Facilities & Maintenance AssistantSt NeotsLMD1552£25 – 35k pa Our client is looking to recruit a new member of staff to join their existing maintenance/facilities team and the successful candidate will carry out a range of maintenance and site management tasks.The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of reactive, planned and maintenance tasks.This is an exciting opportunity to join a great company where your individual input is valued and recognised and where the successful candidate will be offered future opportunities to increase their skill set with training and qualifications.Candidates should have:

  • Experience of building maintenance, general facilities assistant, janitorial duties.
  • Ability to identify and select correct materials and tools for a job.
  • Have a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to provide a schedule of works for identified additional /remedial works.
Duties
  • Weekly & monthly planned maintenance tasks
  • Assist in with building maintenance, modifications, and repairs.
  • Painting and decorating, basic plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Some basic electrical fault finding and repair.
  • Housekeeping of facilities plant rooms and workshop.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety at work i.e., COSHH, Risk Assessments
Skills Required The successful candidate will require Manual Handling ability and be comfortable working at heights.You will need to have a flexible approach towards daily duties to ensure fast and accurate response to plant or site issues.Be a confident and personable communicator to liaise with internal stakeholders – gaining trust and confidence.Hold a full UK drivers licence and be Computer literate to produce reports, and job logging can be done effectively and in a timely manner.Prior Experience Required You will need experience of building maintenance and/or handy person fulfilment.Confidently able to identify and select correct materials and tools for a job.Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a factory environment.Have a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.Ability to provide a schedule of works for identified additional / remedial works.If you have a similar background within a manufacturing/factory environment and are looking for a new challenge with a rapidly growing business, where you will be given the opportunity to grow your career/qualifications, then call Lizzie now on or WhatsApp or email Please note that at times due to the volume of applications we may not be able to respond to each person individually.
