Job Description

Customer Development ManagerJewsonThis is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and proactive Customer Development Manager to join our business. As a Customer Development Manager working for our Jewson brand you will assist the business Unit in the on-boarding and development of new accounts,supporting the external team on conversion of live quotes and build Aviator pipelines as well as the management of key accounts. The Customer Development Manager will work with all functions to develop and leverage the scale of the Business Unit.Jewson is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK. Our colleagues are criticalto our customers success and you will be working with a team that proactively supports them in every way possible.You will be a go getter, self-motivated and with a hunger for sales, A Customer Development Manager who will actively be communicating with our new and core customers who require the Build Aviator estimating service, liaising with the local branches coveringthe Hastings, Kent and East Sussex areas to ensure quotes are progressed through each stage of our customers developments, visiting projects and building relationship with customers across our region.What will I be doing in the role

  • Help manage and convert the Business Unit sales pipeline with a keen focus on Build Aviator
  • On-board all new accounts within the Business Unit, ensuring that they start and continue to spend
  • Work with customers and the external sales team to agree and set terms of trade
  • Support the external sales team with preparation and conversion of all quotations
  • Develop trust relationships with key Business Unit customers to maintain and improve Profitability
  • Pro-actively phone targeted customers to improve the share of wallet
  • Provide customer insights to the Sales Manager to identify opportunities
  • Work with the branch teams to execute the local Business Unit sales plans
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of our products and services as well as market trends in order to understand the customers needs
  • Development and execution of sales plans and campaigns
Although we do require someone who has held customer facing roles, strong account management skills with knowledge of building materials and pricing, we are open to reviewing applications from candidates across different sectors with telephony sales skills,digital sales tools and systems, the ability to perform cross functional working as well as a positive attitude and a commitment to your learning and development are most important.
