Role: Production OperativeDays: Mon - Fri Hours: 08:00 - 16:15 (08:00 - 14:00 on Fri) Location: Hemingford Abbots Our well-established client on the outskirts of Huntingdon is looking for a quality engineer on a permanent basis. The role of Production Operative is an important one and therefore successful applicants will need be extremely conscientious with the quality of their work and efficiency. A flexible attitude towards working hours and a competent, keen personality are alsokey to this role. Our client offers a clean, comfortable working environment, free tea and coffee, ample parking for cars and cycles in a quiet, easily accessible location close to several large towns. Tea breaks and lunch breaks are paid breaks. Overtime is regularly available. The role: To assist with the loading of a wide range and sizes of SMT components received as kits of parts from stores onto the feeder carts which interface with the SMT pick and place machines. To provide help with the box build of customer products, prior to, and after the product test function. To assist with the packing of all customer products (PCB assemblies and / or assembled products) into padded bags, dissipative bags or folded cardboard trays To understand and follow the documentation generated for each SMT job. To identify SMT component types and confirm part description and part numbers between BOM (Bill of Material) and picking list. To load the pick & place carts with SMT components in accordance with the job pick list. Program the pick & place carts for each new job. To unload pick & place carts at job completion, label all components and return them to stores. To ensure that each job has the full complement of documentation prior to the job being run. To provide assistance to the following areas of the manufacturing department; Hand assembly, Box build, Packing and Despatch.
