Job Description

Science Solutions Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Regulatory Specialist for a global chemicals and polymer manufacturer based in the North West of England. As a Senior Regulatory Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring all globalcompliance of products to various legislations globally including chemical safety, food contact, labelling and medical. You will also be responsible for tracking various legislation changes globally, maintaining all compliance for raw materials and liaisingand updating any changes to customers.To be considered for this Senior Regulatory Specialist, you will be degree educated in Chemistry, Toxicology or closely related subject, along with previous industrial experience spent within a senior regulatory role with a good working knowledge of variouschemicals legislations including REACh, Food Contact, GHS, CLP and TOSCA.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain product regulatory management systems.
  • Build and maintain all regulatory information including GHS, hazard identifications and REACh
  • Become an expert within food contact legislations globally.
  • Apply various chemical legislation changes including COSHH, GHS/CLP, REACh, ROHS and TOSCA.
  • Maintain product stewardship systems and update any changes.
  • Approve new raw materials based on local regulatory policies and legislation.
  • Manage document generation for customers when required including SDSs.
  • Review change control and trial requests.
  • Provide specialist regulatory support to various business projects globally.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Minimum BSc in Chemistry, Toxicology or closely related subject.
  • Previous industrial experience within a senior regulatory affairs position.
  • Significant experience of working within global chemical markets.
  • Thorough understanding of REACh and Food Contact legislations.
  • Knowledge of GHS/CLP.
  • Understanding of other chemical legislation including ROHS, FDA, TOSCA would be highly desirable.
