Job Description

An Accounts Assistant role has become available in the Accounting & Finance department of an IT company based in St. Helens. The role requires a team member who is meticulous, confident in managing accounts and possesses exceptional numeracy skills.Client DetailsThis is a thriving medium-sized company in the IT industry that has consistently shown growth year on year. Boasting an impressive client base, the company is renowned for delivering high end services within the industry.DescriptionThe key duties for the Accounts Assistant are:

  • Assisting in the preparation of accounts
  • Managing petty cash transactions
  • Controlling credit and chasing debt
  • Supporting with Purchase Ledger
  • Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits
  • Maintaining spreadsheets
  • Checking company bank statements
  • Preparing statutory accounts
  • Working with all levels of the finance department to help resolve financial issues
ProfileA successful Accounts Assistant should have:
  • A good understanding of accounting and financial principles
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
  • The ability to work effectively within a team
