Job Description

Senior Business ManagerHave you ever thought about a career in RecruitmentIf so then you could be perfect for our Senior Business Manager position.The PackageThe basic salary for the Senior Business Manager is between £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.Standard hours of work are 08:00-17:00 - Hybrid RoleYoull also receive other benefits which include the following:

  • Annual leave entitlement grows with service and attendance, up to 43 days.

The RoleIn the Senior Business Manager role you will be working within our Trades Division at GPW Recruitment.Specific tasks include:
  • Obtain comprehensive job descriptions and candidate profiles for vacancies and gain the commitment from clients to interview any suitable candidates that GPW Recruitment may seek to introduce.
  • Source suitable candidates from which to make pre-selection, through various means including media advertising, job boards, social media, referrals, networking, search and other innovative methods.
  • Conduct effective face-to-face pre-selection interviews (or qualify by telephone if appropriate), ensuring that maximum information is obtained with regard to previous experience, current circumstances and future aspirations.
  • Conduct all recruitment activity in accordance with prevailing REC and statutory requirements together with the Companys Quality Procedures.
  • Record objective candidate summaries highlighting strengths and limitations of candidates to be submitted to clients, and to categorise and skill candidates enabling effective and speedy re-call for vacancy matching purposes, whilst keeping the companysclient and candidate database up to date.
  • Present pre-selected candidates face to face, verbally and/or in writing, to suitable potential employers from vacancies held and to effect an introduction of both parties to each other by way of an interview.
  • Confirm all such introductions; ensure that candidate and client are comprehensively prepared for the interview.
  • Follow up interviews with both parties in order to optimise the opportunity for a successful placement.
  • Market candidates via telephone or in written form, to companies that are deemed to be a suitable potential employer.
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, details of the costs and charges made by GPW Recruitment and to ensure acceptance of the companys Terms of Business prior to the commencement of any assignment.
  • To assist the Directors with the effective implementation of the companys marketing plan. These activities could include advertising, direct mail and exhibition activity.
  • To contribute in a positive and constructive manner to the development and growth of the business in any forum including sales meetings.
  • To supervise, manage and mentor GPW personnel, as agreed with the Divisional Director. By positive example, attitude and actions; to act as a mentor and role model to direct reports and other company personnel.
Arrange face to face meetings with prospective and existing clients in order understand their exact requirements and to present the contract and permanent recruitment services of GPW Recruitment including: -
  • Contingency recruitment; contract and permanent
  • Specialist services including executive search, client funded advertising, assessment centres & payroll bureau
  • Cross selling all GPW trading Divisions
KPIsFee revenue from contract and permanent placements in accordance with company thresholds and personal objectives.Daily, weekly and monthly sales activities to levels periodically set by the Divisional Director at sales meetings.This position is based in our St Helens office, hybridThe CandidateTo be the right person for Senior Business Manager role, its important that you have the following:
