Job Description

Refuge Night Worker Housing AssociationAbout The Client:Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Merseyside based housing association who are looking to appoint a Refuge Night Worker for one of their schemes based in St Helens. The contract will be ongoing for a minimum of 3 months on an ad hoc basisfor £13.46 umbrella.Refuge Night WorkerHousing AssociationAbout The Role:

  • To take responsibility for running the night service at the refuge
  • To receive out of hours referrals and offering immediate support and advice to individuals seeking safe accommodation.
  • To provide assistance to callers of the 24-hour helpline
  • To raise any concerns with the on-call manager, ensuring the organisational and safeguarding procedures are followed
  • To log case notes and input key data as required, make sure the handover is up to date for the following day for the day staff

  • Evidence of working with people suffering domestic abuse is desired
  • Enhanced DBSessential
  • Demonstrates ability to engage with clients with complex needs
  • Comfortable working night shifts on an ad hoc basis
  • Knowledge and experience of safeguarding practices and procedures
