Job Description

Job Title: Quality & Technical Supervisor/ManagerLocation: Halton Pay Rate : Negotiable Aspion are currently recruiting for an experienced QC Laboratory Manager for an immediate start for a long-established local manufacturer of resin based organic adhesives.Duties:

  • To recruit, train, motivate, retain and manage high calibre QC staff. Ensuring that duties are performed to a consistently high standard
  • Manage, maintain and develop the QMS and EMS across the organisation.
  • React to change and implement any necessary amendments to the QMS/EMS as required
  • Ensure that good quality products are manufactured within an agreed timescale
  • Manage a customer focussed department, providing high quality systems, personnel and communication
  • Act as primary contact for all issues relating to customer complaints and requests for information relating to product supply and quality
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of manufacturing and testing systems and procedures via a process of continual reassessment and improvement of the companys manufacturing capabilities and product quality
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Degree in Chemistry - desirable. Experience of laboratory management.
  • Experience of the management of an accredited QMS/EMS including hosting external audit and conducting internal audits- desirable.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety regulations including risk assessment - desirable.
  • Quality focussed with a high attention to detail.
  • Hands on attitude with the ability to lead from the front.
  • Ability to work as part of a cross functional team.
  • Driven, with the tenacity to get the job done. Strong integrity. Confident, professional with a can do attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
