My client is a successful company who are continuing to grow. Due to their ongoing expansion they have an opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. You will be required to oversee the Project handover including design work in linewith client specifications / drawings and quoted details passed to you from the Sales Department. Take responsibility for requesting any required quotes for all materials required to complete manufacture and enabling you to produce a fully detailed Bill ofMaterials.Duties will include:-Pre-sales site visits and project meetingsProject handover meeting with Design and Engineering Director / Operations DirectorProject control document created / updated for assigned projectsAssessment of project in terms oflead-time, cost & engineeringRequest quotes (copper, metalwork & deliveries)Hold internal project meetingsSupply CAD Engineers with basic outline of project (Electrical & Mechanical)Check CAD Engineers provisional / pre-production drawingsSubmitprovisional / pre-production drawings to clientSeek approval of project from customer to ensure no aftersales issuesIssue drawing modifications back to CAD EngineersCheck CAD Engineers revised / production drawingsOrder basic electrical / mechanicalcomponents based upon drawing approvalAllocate of stock items to projectProduce of project bill of materials based on ordered & stock partsProduce shop floor folder for handover to Shop Floor SupervisorActively assist in production meetings withthe production management teamAddress engineering and costs changes during productionArrange delivery of product based on load size and site requirementsSite works monitored and controlled if required in the absence of site team MAS.COM.01 .Projectdebrief with Design and Engineering DirectorSigning off of "As fitted" drawings and helping to compile O&MsThe development of standard designs, drawings and pricing schedule Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable):Comprehensive understanding oftest processes and proceduresTactical and Diplomatic knowledge and skills with Clients / Suppliers and their agents.Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential):Must have LV Switchgear background.Good LV switchgear product knowledge.Sound technical engineering background.NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering / or working towards.HND in Electrical / ElectronicEngineering / or working towards.Developed report writing skills.Numerate.IT Literate in Excel, Outlook and Work, MS Project.Excellent organisational skills.Able to organise ones own time and meet tight deadlines.Experience in preparationof working drawings.Understanding of budgets and requirements.Project management skills.Developed telephone and verbal communication skills at all levels. Must be able to debrief colleagues and clients and complete final completion of job within thecompany. Project manage all budgets against requirements and provide value engineering where necessary to ensure the profitability and efficiency of all projects.Confident and able to liaise with clients in an appropriate manner.Must hold a UK driving licence.
