Job Description

KS4/5 Business StudiesSt HelensFull timeJanuary 2023 - Feb half term (possibly longer)Prospero Teaching are looking for a creative Business Studies teacher for a secondary school in St Helens. The school is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive with 1770 students, including more than 250 in the Sixth Form. This role is a full-time position, startingin January 2023 until the end February half term, and there is potential that it could be possibly longer. You will also be expected to teach key stage 4 and 5. The successful candidate will be able to provide exceptional support to students and demonstrategood behaviour and classroom assistant/management.The ideal Business Studies teacher will be fully qualified, have a degree related to Business Studies and sound knowledge of the National Curriculum, with recent experience teaching Business Studies. You must have experience working in a similar role withinsecondary schools to be considered.CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - St Helens
  • Position - Business Studies Teacher
  • Start date - January 2023
  • Duration - Feb half term
  • Contract type - Full Time
  • Minimum rate of pay - £120 per day
  • Hours - 8:15AM - 4:00PM Monday to Friday
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Relevant teaching qualification
  • Previous experience working in a school
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, training can be provided)
  • Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
