Job Description

Were looking for a talented Business Engagement Adviser to work for us. We want to recruit someone with skills to drive forward business engagement and promote all services delivered by St Helens Chamber and key partners. If thats you then you could beexactly what were looking for.The Role:You will actively recruit and retain ChamberMembers, delivering an excellentbusiness development and account managementfunction ensuring they receive value for money. You will also build strong relationships with localbusinesses, Chamber Members, and non-members, to ensure their needs are understood and they are referred to relevant services and wider programmes that the Chamber and key partners deliver.You will also be required to:

  • To contribute to the design and implementation of a Membership Strategy, working closely with Central Admin, Education, Events, Marketing, Business Support, Training, Apprenticeships and Senior Management Team.
  • To schedule, host and deliver high quality events that are for Business Networking or Sector specific engagement objectives.
  • To identify and attend external events ensuring that the Chamber and all services are represented. Attendance can include general networking, presenting, or exhibiting.
  • To identify, schedule and conduct one-to-one meetings with intermediaries and other partner organisations, ensuring that Chamber services are promoted, and collaboration opportunities are identified and introduced.
  • To ensure thatthe widerChamber staff has a goodknowledge ofMembership products and services and are fully aware of the business benefits of Chamber Membership.
  • To onboard new Members recruited, ensuring they fully understand the range of services available to them and begin to engage with the Chamber in their first three months of Membership.
  • To contribute to Chamber credit control activities, placing phone calls to overdue Members to encourage prompt payment.
  • To support our objective of being the Voice of Business, by gathering intelligence from the local business community on issues they are facing and business priorities, feeding this into the wider Business Services team.
  • To maintain all Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system records accurately and be able to generate appropriate reports and information from the CRM system.
  • To complete all administrative duties assigned to the recruitment and resignation of Members
The Candidate:The ideal candidate for this Business Engagement Adviser will have the ability to manage effective customer and supplier relationships and have experience in using a Customer Relationship Management system. Ideally, they will also have experience in workingin a business development capacity.In addition, youll need:
