M&Y Maintenance and Construction is now recruiting an Arborist Technician to work with our Grounds Maintenance team.About the roleThe main purpose of this role will be to assist the Arborist Supervisor in carrying out all types of arboriculture services. You will assist in the preparation and updating of tree inventories, and you will also assist with emergency tree works as required whilst ensuring you comply with the Group’s Health and Safety policies. The post holder will also ensure that vehicles and plants are used, maintained, and secured in accordance with operational guidelines and that defects, damage or thefts are reported and investigated. You will help us to achieve our aim of the becoming the contractor of choice’ by providing excellent service to our customers and working closely with our partners.The successful candidate will be willing to work towards the following qualifications: NPTC Units: o CS30 - Maintenance o CS31 - Tree Felling o CS38 - Climb trees and perform aerial rescues o CS39 - Aerial chainsaw use Climbing skills. You will be able to work confidently at heights for long periods whilst ensuring you are working within Health and Safety at Work guidelines. You will also have the ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team and have a willingness to undertake training and development activities as required.
