Your compassionate approach will ensure a fantastic, mutually enjoyable experience for you and for our client.So, if you want to join an award-winning organisation where you can make a real difference in someones life, we want to hear from you.The Role As a Support Worker, you will support the provision of care to of our client, a 10 year old boy with complex needs.Offering enthusiastic and patient support, you will engage our client in different activities including therapies as prescribed by the rehabilitation team and personal care. Treating our client with respect and dignity, you will help them live a rich and fulfilling life by enabling activities in the wider community such as visiting the cinema, Ski4All and inclusive swimming lessons.About YouTo be considered as a Support Worker, you will need:- To be registered with OR working towards registration with Social Care Wales- A good understanding of the physical needs of a client with physical and cognitive difficulties- The ability to follow instructions- Excellent communication skills- A full, valid driving licenceA recognised Health and Social Care qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) is desirable, as is previous experience. Competent IT skills would also be beneficial.Please note, you must hold a recognised Health and Social Care qualification (NVQ Level 2 or a Diploma) OR have completed the All Wales Induction Framework, or be willing to complete this within 6 months of starting if successful.The successful candidate will have some flexibility to fit in with other commitments you or the client may already have.This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS.
