Integrated Services for LearningSEND Specialist Advice and SupportEarly Years Inclusion SpecialistLocation: St. Albans and DacorumSalary Range: £25,481 - £27,741 (pro rata for part-time)Hours: 24 hours per weekContract: PermanentDiversity: We are an inclusive employer and value a diverse workforceOur teams work with children aged 0-7 with a range of complex and communication needs, some may have a diagnosis of Autism.We have an opportunity within the SEND Specialist Advice and Support team for an Early Years Inclusion Specialist to provide support, advice and guidance to families, settings and schools for children with SEND within the Early Years SEND Team.You will also deliver training and workshops for parents and settings. In partnership with a Specialist Advisory Teacher, you will enable families and settings to develop practical skills that develop their interaction and engagement with the child throughmodelling, signposting and collaborative working.The post holder must hold a qualification in Early Years (level 3 or above) and significant experience of working with preschool children and children within the foundation stage who have SEND. Experience of working with families and other professionals,a thorough knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and the ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills in specific SEND interventions are essential. Additional qualifications relating to SEND and inclusion are highly desirable.You will need to demonstrate this, alongside your suitability against the person specification, in your application.
