Job Description

Established and growing SaaS provider of integrated ticketing and EPOS systems into the Leisure and Retail sectors, is looking to expand their sales team with an experienced Business Development Manager.Subject to your experience and career aspirations, opportunities exist within both the SME and Enterprise markets.You will work with clients primarily within the Leisure, Heritage and Visitor Attraction space. Despite a tough 18 months owing to Covid, there is significant activity in this market and their product has made it possible for many venues to open in a secureway. This will be a broad and exciting role with some fantastic opportunities for growth.About the role:

  • This is a full end to end BDM role where you will manage the sales process (pre-sales - though with some technical support, sales cycle management, bid and proposal writing, attending industry events etc).
  • You will attend exhibitions and events monthly to generate new business leads.
  • Converting a good pipeline of inbound leads, converting these leads into business meetings and new clients.
  • Other new business prospecting via marketing, social, CRM development, intelligence gathering and meetings.
  • You will conduct all new business meetings, including tech demos, tender writing and pitching to win new business. There are plans for increased pre-sales / technical support for demos.
  • Working closely with other business heads (Development, Project Management / Professional Services, Marketing) to ensure you have the tools you need to win and close business.
  • Pushing back internally on business heads to ensure the product keeps pace with client / market demand.
About you:
  • You will enjoy working in a new business role and will have worked within an end to end sales environment where youve had a handle on the entire sales process (pre-sales, sales cycle management etc).
  • Sector experience will be highly desirable:
  • Ideally you will have sold a SaaS solution into the Leisure or Retail vertical and experience within the Heritage, Visitor Attraction or ticketing space would be a real head start.
  • Alternatively, experience selling a SaaS or EPOS product into the Leisure or Retail space more generally.
  • Payments platform or other SaaS or professional services sales will also be considered.
  • You will be Tech curious, interested in the product roadmap and will actively seek this information out to sell to clients.
  • You will be interested in how the product interfaces with other software solutions currently being used, for example, financial software (Sage, Xero, Oracle etc), Payments Gateways and more. An open API means a wide range of third parties to meet clientrequirements.
  • You will be outgoing, sociable and enjoy engaging with your clients at face to face and social events
  • You will have a mature approach with a successful track record in sales within SME and/or Enterprise sales.
  • The business can accommodate hybrid working; you could be based close to a network of offices between Birmingham or London or fully remote / field-based.

  • Company Car (allowance)
  • Transparent commission structure with an OTE that should pay out c.70% of basic salary.
