DescriptionHave you got experience supporting children or adults with special needsASQ Education is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant for a special needs secondary school in Southwarkcatering for young people with a wide range of special needs.The role is to start as soon as possible on a full time & long term basis.Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm with 30mins break each day.Pay up to £90/day.Will turn permanent for the right person.About the role:This is a role for a SEN Teaching Assistant. You will be working with several pupils regularly who require varying degrees of support that could include Moving & Handling with wheelchairs or hoists as well as Personal Care such as changing clothes, generalhygiene, assisting with toileting and other life skills. You will also be required to help pupils manage emotions, behaviour and focus on learning. You will need to work closely with the class teacher to make sure that the support you are providing sets yourpupils up to succeed when it comes to engaging in lessons.Amazing opportunity to work as part of a team and make a real difference to those that you support while learning lots of new skills.About the school:The school is rated good with outstanding features by Ofsted.
