Job Description

Music Teacher

Reed Education is seeking passionate Music Teachers for permanent roles in vibrant schools across the Lewisham, Lambeth, and Southwark boroughs. This is an exceptional opportunity for Music Teachers who are committed to inspiring students and nurturing theirmusical talents. Day to Day of the Role:
  • Delivering stimulating and inspiring music lessons to students, in accordance with the UK curriculum.
  • Planning and preparing lesson content, including practical music sessions and theoretical instruction.
  • Assessing student progress, providing feedback, and setting objectives to advance their musical abilities.
  • Managing the classroom environment to ensure a safe and engaging space for learning and performance.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to integrate music into a broader educational context and school events.
  • Encouraging students’ appreciation of music and developing their performance skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience in teaching music within the UK curriculum.
  • Availability to work a minimum of three days per week.
  • Proven ability to manage classroom dynamics and promote an enriching learning experience.
  • Strong track record with ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ observation ratings.
  • Willingness to complete necessary compliance checks, including Enhanced DBS and employment references.
