Software Test Manager / QA Manager / Test Team Lead - AutomationEssex company but fully remote if you want it to be£40,000 - £50,000 plus 25 days holiday, healthcare and moreThe business was started by developers who were fed-up of working for large companies where they were not really understood. They launched with technology in mind first, a developers business, somewhere they wanted to work and somewhere they could build for coders, technologists, not just to earn a quick buck. Fast-forward to today and they have an established team of twelve Developers, 4 in QA and a successful FinTech suite used by top-tier banks as well as a thriving bespoke practice.Their Test team is currently four, mostly junior testers and they need a seasoned professional to come in and take the reins, lead, manage and help them become better automated (they are using Cypress at the moment). We need you, an experienced Tester and people manager, to lead from the front, organise, structure and manage and improve this important function of the business.You will have experience of line managing software Test teams, with a practical and organised approach and strong planning skills. Naturally you will have strong knowledge of testing practices including Automation, API and UAT and processes and methodologies including Agile and the overall SDLC. You will be a competent scripter (SQL, JS, etc.) and will have a good working knowledge of current test tools (VS, Selenium, Git, VMs, Postman, etc.).This is a brilliant opportunity for a Test Manager or Test Team Lead to take the reins of QA for this brilliant software business.
