Job Description

Our client is a leading legal firm with multiple offices across Essex who are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger/Legal Cashier to join their team. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with experience inlegal accounts.Knowledge of SRA accounts rules is highly preferable.Key Responsibilities:

  • Code and process invoices accurately
  • Reconcile client statements and manage interest transactions
  • Approve and post bills, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Adhere to money laundering regulations
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and execute client-to-office transfers
  • Process payments, including cheque production and electronic transfers
  • Manage petty cash transactions and reimburse expense
  • Maintain the purchase ledger account
  • Perform daily banking operations
  • Conduct analysis and handle ad hoc tasks directed by the Finance Manager
  • Ensure strict adherence to Solicitors Accounts Rules
Benefits:
  • Up to £24k
  • 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, rising to 23 after 3 years’ service, and 25 after 5 years’ service
  • Pension - 5% employee, 4% employer contribution
