IT or EPOS Field Engineer / Installation Engineer - PED / Chip & PIN Swap ProjectLooking for a contract Field Engineer to undertake a hardware refresh project.This role will require you to have your own vehicle, be confident on IT and have ideally undertaken a similar role.The task is a repetitive hardware swap of the PEDs (PIN Entry Devices / Chip and PIN machines) on the counters.The work is a like for like swap, reusing the existing data cables and power supplies.You will be following a script on a App based tool, and recording details of the successful installation of each device.On the pilots each site is taking 2-3 hours to do an average of 5 PEDs.This project will be scheduled as 2 sites per day most days, and once the full programme begins, 5 days Mon - Friday.Rates will be:1 site day £135 (if scheduled as single site day)2 site day £1553 site day £180Rates are inclusive of up to 100 miles round trip (will be scheduled as local as possible, theres 5000+ sites to do), additional mileage is offered after that.(Hotels could be offered for more remote sites.)Should be able to get onto the first site for 0700.Additional income can be achieved by picking up service calls on top of your project rate.To be compliant all contractors wishing to undertake this work require:CSCS or ECS card (can start with a training course booking confirmation, if you dont yet have a Card)Asbestos Awareness Certificate (a £10, 20 min online course).Public Liability insurance of £2M or above (if working as a Limited company).This project is expected to last around 4 months.Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contractContract length: 3 months
