As a Health and Safety Officer working for a local Build Partner, you will play a key role in helping CityFibre to achieve our mission of delivering full Fibre to up to 8 million premises across the UK - building the Fibre future and be part of somethingfar bigger than just a standard job. In your new role as a health and safety officer you will be responsible for Ensuring and monitoring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and day to day responsibility of overseeing site operations areconducted in accordance with Telelink Infra Services Health and Safety manuals and policies.You will help to build the Future of Fibre by:* Ensure the implementation of new or existing SHEQ-related legislation, rules, and Company standards to include site inspections of company and contractors sites, fire prevention, health, and safety awareness training, etc.* Visit sites to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment, and materials ensuring teams adhere to industry related legislations not limited to NRSWA HSE etc.* To implement SHEQ Communication for all sites, to include written information, toolbox talks, bulletins, and management briefs.* To support the Field Services and FTTP project managers with advice and work with our supply chain to develop and monitor improvement plans where required.* Assist in the completion of duties as required by the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015.* Provides support and expertise to line management in incident investigation and reporting.* Investigate accidents and prepare final reports including provision of mitigation and liability evaluation on cases based on available facts.* Facilitate all forms of risk assessment e.g., general, manual handling, COSHH, fire prevention and acts as an authority where a specialist response is required in relation to risk assessments performed by others on site.* Train and mentor team leader and operatives in safe field operations e.g., HSG 47 etc* Monitor/Audit 3rd Party suppliers confirm all are working in accordance with Telelink Infra Services policies.* Evaluate, assess, and alter safety procedures and policies for the benefit of employees and clients.* Reporting & Data analysis in order to steer correct behaviours and driving improvements.* Prepare and conduct Inductions, safety training sessions for* Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards including HSE, Local Authorities.* Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and policies and institute changes in identified breaches.* Provide weekly reports of health and safety requirements and compliance.* Support and implement senior management requests.* Provide necessary information for developing and maintaining effective company business management systems.* Act as a role model always in support of organisation priorities and values.* Liaise with project team and address safety related issues/complaints in line with company policies.* Oversee health & safety compliance within the warehouse.* Provide necessary information for developing and maintaining effective company business management systems.* Act as a role model always in support of organisation priorities and values.* Liaise with project team and address safety related issues/complaints in line with company policies.You will need:* Educated to GCE/GCSE level.* NEBOSH or Tech IOSH equivalent.* NRSWA Supervisor Qualification* Health and Safety Experience* CDM Regulations 2015 Awareness;* Good IT skills* Able to work under pressure.* Flexible* Ability to task priorities.* Ability to learn new procedures.* Proactive nature* Good team skills* Motivated with a desire to see the job done well.* Ability to provide support and to take instruction.* Can do attitude.* Site Auditing experience.* Driving LicenceDesirable Qualifications and Certificates (would be an advantage) :* NEBOSH NGC;* IOSH Managing Safely;* First Aid (EFAAW);* Asbestos Awareness;Apply now and help to connect mankind to the digital era!
